What is the SFWDA? |
|
|
We're the Southern Four Wheel Drive Association, a non-profit
organization dedicated to promoting 4-wheel-drive (4WD) recreation,
responsible land usage, conservation, and education.
SFWDA is an association of 4-wheel-drive clubs located in
the southeastern United States.

4-Wheeling
Fun for the Entire Family
For the full 4-wheeling experience and to get the most fun out
of your 4WD vehicle, we recommend that you contact and join
one of our many member clubs.
Being a member of one of our clubs also makes you a member of Southern
Four Wheel Drive Association. We are a large regional association
and we have many member clubs so a club is likely to be close to you.
 |
Membership
in a 4WD club gives you: |
- Monthly meetings and trail rides
- Family-oriented social and 4-wheeling events
- Camaraderie and friendships
- Charitable and community activities
- Learn new trails and vehicle skills
- Participation in trail projects
|
Our
Commitment to Keeping Trails Open:
Southern 4WD Association members are very active in trail maintenance
activities in Upper Tellico, Uwharrie, Beasley Knob, Livingston,
Royal Blue, Anderson Creek, and other public and private areas throughout
the southeast. We can field large crews of volunteers with all necessary
skills, equipment, and certifications.
We also lobby Congress, the Forest Service, and other land managers
for continuing 4-wheeling access to our public lands.
We
believe that public lands should be protected for the people, not
from the people.
